An easier way to text...

Recently texting has become a very popular form of communication. With the popularity has come many downfalls such as texting and driving. It is senseless and completely unnecessary. States across the country are creating laws that prohibit cell phone use while driving. What if there was a program or tool that would spell out what you spoke into a text? Technology is not too far off. Most cell phones now have a read aloud feature which will open and read an incoming text. A program that typed would be the next step… imagine the convenience it would bring. It would prevent countless accidents yearly.

  1. I have no doubt that future scientists will develop cell phone technology that types to send and receive text messages or other forms of communication and then reads those messages aloud. Voice recognition technology has already been incorporated into some automobiles.
Society would benefit tremendously from voice activated forms of communication by a reduction in text related accidents. We may eventually have technology entirely based on voice commands that will type memos, documents or term papers. How wonderful it would be to simply speak a college assignment and have it come out electronically or in printed form already grammatically correct with no spelling errors! Artists might someday use voice guided brushes and tools to create digital art. As technology continues to evolve further, texting and typing will probably eventually be replaced entirely by voice recognition software and touch to talk technology devices.
